In August of 2021 a colleague and I were hired to renovate a large estate.
We spent several months working with the homeowner and a local contractor to transform the house. After we finished, the client was able to sell the house for an additional 5 million.

The client’s home had been infested by wood-boring beetles,
requiring the removal of all cabinetry and countertop in all 6 bedroom and 7 bathrooms.

Story

This ended up being a blessing in disguise for the client, who felt the cabinets and countertop were outdated and preferred

a sleek, modern look with touches of rustic charm.

We started out with the inspiration photos below:

We demolished the infested cabinetry, respecified the material palette and repainted all of the walls.

I created detailed shop drawings for a local cabinet maker and electrical plans for our contractor.

We designed a sculptural hood for the range based off of an inspiration image given to us by the client.
